The successful candidate would be expected to deliver moving and positioning training to care services. The successful candidate should be able to deliver this training within Hertfordshire.

To be considered for this position, you must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • You have occupational experience in moving and positioning.
  • You have worked in a role which involved undertaking risk assessments in moving and positioning.

You also need to have the following qualifications:

  • Train the trainer qualification in moving and positioning.
  • Teaching qualification.

You also need to have specific knowledge around the following:

  • Anatomy of the spine.
  • Legislation relevant to moving and positioning.
  • The role of risk assessments in reducing moving and positioning risks.
  • Ways for maximising independence and reducing moving and positioning risks.
  • Knowledge of the range of techniques to safely manoeuvre individuals in receipt of care.
  • Types of equipment suitable for a range of manoeuvres.
