Who is the course suitable for?
Anybody working in a role that involves mental health support.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level one in literacy and numeracy or equivalent. It may be beneficial for learners to have completed a relevant level 1 qualification in health and social care.
The qualification is suitable for learners of 16 years of age and above.
Qualification Purpose
The qualification develops learners’ knowledge and understanding relevant to working in mental health including duty of care, equality and diversity, different approaches to care and management and understanding change and support in relation to mental health. Learners may progress to further qualifications or employment within health and social care including an apprenticeship framework within health or health and social care. The qualification can also be used as part of development within learner’s current job role within health and social care.
